Residential Care Officers

Salary: Grade 7 £31,586 to £36,124 per year
Location Nightingale at Tree Tops (Scunthorpe)
Hours: 37 hours per week
DBS: Yes Enhanced with Barred List Check

 Tree Tops will provide a continuum of care to children and young adults with disabilities and the children’s homes within the campus will offer both short breaks and residential placements to children and young people who have a physical and/or learning disability, including those with a complex health need and/or Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

 

Working at Tree Tops will give you the opportunity to be part of a team helping shape and develop our children’s homes and local short break offer.

 

 We are seeking experienced and motivated care officers to work within our residential children’s home, based at Tree Tops. We are looking for resilient, creative and versatile individuals who will be prepared to work flexibly on a rota that includes every other weekend, bank holidays and regular on-call/sleep in duties, which attract salary enhancements.

 

Applicants are required to have some knowledge of disabilities and be able to support children and young people with their personal, social, emotional, physical and health care needs. As a key worker you will oversee the development and implementation of care plans that are designed to provide meaningful choice and support. Applicants will be able to take direction and work as part of a team, and when necessary, take responsibility for leading a shift in the absence of a senior care officer.

 

You must have a good general education and be willing and able to undertake relevant training. You will be supported to complete the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, which is a requirement of the job role, unless an equivalent qualification has already been achieved.
