We are seeking to recruit an experienced, passionate, and effective practitioner, to join our truly inclusive school with the exciting opportunity to teach in a brand new SEN resource provision opening in January 2025 within Brigg Primary School as part of The North Lincolnshire SEN local offer.

We are looking for a person who has experience, skills and ambition for the children to be nurtured and educated in a way that matches their needs and enable them to accomplish their learning and personal targets.

Working across the school, with SRP and mainstream staff, the role is suited to someone with a sense of purpose, a positive outlook and attitude, and a passion for helping children be the best that they can be.

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Has a proven ability to teach pupils with ASD or SEMH needs effectively through the use of dynamic & engaging techniques.
  • Has the ability to work with a team in a responsive and flexible manner, responding to the instruction and advice of the SENDCo.
  • Is able to reflect and see solutions in daily teaching, in own practice and that of the team.
  • Can use their initiative to solve problems.
  • Can share ideas for the adjustment of learning to enable pupils to access the learning effectively.
  • Is able to play a lead role in planning and preparing lessons and resources as well as supporting TAs to deliver sessions.
  • To build effective trusting relationships with staff, pupils, parents and external agencies.
  • Is flexible, committed to our school and willing to take a full part in the life of our school community.

We are able to offer the successful candidate

  • A dedicated, well-resourced learning space
  • A friendly and inclusive team who are supportive of one another and focused on well-being.
  • A warm, welcoming environment within a bigger than average Primary School,
  • Being part of an experienced and supportive team
  • Scope to innovate,
  • Support to take the initiative,
  • Continuing professional development to move to the next stage in your career.

We warmly invite visits to our school to find out more about the role. Please contact the school office (01652 652155) and arrange a meeting with our Head Teacher.
