The Vacancy

Please note the school currently has two Teaching Assistant vacancies with a combined number of hours of 22.5 on separate contracts.
The Headteacher and the Governing Body wish to appoint an ambitious Teaching Assistant who is committed, enthusiastic, imaginative and can form relationships to support pupils across the primary phase.
We are a successful, small, rural school and we are looking for someone to join our welcoming school community.
We are looking for someone who:
- Appreciates the challenges of working within a small school environment.
- Has high expectations and is able to inspire and motivate pupils, resulting in high quality learning and progress for all.
- Has experience of working across the primary Key Stages.
- Is able to follow lesson plans provided to ensure that the needs of all pupils are met, including those with SEN, in a mixed-age class.
- Has good communication skills and is able to work well with colleagues, parents and outside agencies to support teaching and learning for all pupils, including those with SEN.
- Has a good understanding of Safeguarding and Keeping Children Safe in Education.
- Can continue to develop the school’s drive towards excellence, promoting high expectations and outcomes for all.
- Has excellent organisational skills and interpersonal skills.
- An innate ability to demonstrate a caring and nurturing attitude.
