Salary: Grade 4 £18,647 to £19,864 per year

Hours: 32.5 hours per week

Term Time plus 5 days

32.5hrs per week (8:30am - 3:30pm, Mon-Fri)

Salary scale 5-9 (Grade 4) 

£24,790 - £26,409 (£18,647 - £19,864 pro rata)

A vacancy has been identified for a caring and committed Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work in the APASS centre supporting the Learning Mentor (SEMH) supporting pupils with additional learning needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their academic and personal goals. The role will be working with and supporting a number of pupils with more complex social, emotional and behaviour needs..

 

You will experience small group work and working with individuals on a one to one basis. We are seeking a friendly and caring person who is able to establish positive working relationships with children and adults. 

 

The APASS Centre at Sir John Nelthorpe School is a study hub dedicated to supporting Children and Young People with recognised SEMH needs. The centre is based in the main school setting and pupils benefit from a blended learning experience in the centre and the main school often with a view to re-integrating our learners back into the main school environment.

 

We are very proud of the support we provide to our Children and Young People at Sir John Nelthorpe School and the APASS provision is an extension of the support we are dedicated to provide for our more complex needs children and young people on a short term and long-term basis.
