The Vacancy
Baysgarth School is a comprehensive school which is built on strong family values, where everyone is seen, recognised and valued. This had led to us becoming one of the most successful and oversubscribed schools in the region.
Our students are amazing. They are intelligent, articulate, funny, welcoming and appreciative of great teaching. They deserve the best and we intend to make sure that this is what they receive, in every subject, every day of their school lives.
To do this we need outstanding staff who are dedicated, passionate, dynamic, caring and inspiring. We strongly feel we have a world class staff team and we are looking for someone to join one of the strongest teams within it.
We are currently looking for an inspirational staff member who has the skills and experience to continue to provide cover for lessons when a staff member is absent. We believe that learning should never be disrupted so our students expect the same learning experience.
In addition our staff are all expected to have strong inclusive values and play a significant pastoral role, ensuring all our students feel cared for. We pride ourselves on strong relationships with students and the role of the form tutor is the most important one for each student.
The school boosts outstanding facilities in all areas, reflecting our commitment to our staff and students in ensuring the very best conditions for learning.
Baysgarth School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to apply for enhanced disclosure from the DBS.
If you are inspired by the challenge and responsibility of this opportunity, we would like to hear from you. Further details and an application form can be downloaded from the school’s website. If you would like to discuss any aspect of the post or organise a visit, please feel free to contact our Deputy Head, Mr Andy North, via andrew.north@baysgarthschool.co.uk
Closing date for applications is 12.00pm on Friday 10th January 2025.
Interviews will be held week commencing 13th January 2025.
As an employer, we promote and safeguard the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect the same commitment from existing and prospective employees or volunteers. Recruitment to this post will follow our safer recruitment procedure which includes us requesting references prior to interview and a DBS check.
