Baysgarth School is a comprehensive school which is built on strong family values, where everyone is seen, recognised and valued. This had led to us becoming one of the most successful and oversubscribed schools in the region.

Our students are amazing. They are intelligent, articulate, funny, welcoming and appreciative of great teaching.  They deserve the best and we intend to make sure that this is what they receive, in every subject, every day of their school lives.

To do this we need outstanding teachers who are dedicated, passionate, dynamic, caring and inspiring. We strongly feel we have a world class staff team and we are looking for someone to join one of the strongest teams within it.

We are seeking a highly enthusiastic and skilled Music Teacher. The ideal candidate will have the creativity and initiative to design and deliver an engaging, dynamic music curriculum that inspires our learners and nurtures their talents. Our school takes pride in the high levels of student engagement in the arts and we are eager to extend this enthusiasm within our music department through extra curricular activities. We are looking for someone with the drive and dedication to make this happen. Barton has a strong musical community and we want to be at the heart of it.

In addition our staff are all expected to have strong inclusive values and play a significant pastoral role, ensuring all our students feel cared for. We pride ourselves on strong relationships with students and the role of the form tutor is the most important one for each student.

The school boosts outstanding facilities in all areas, reflecting our commitment to our staff and students in ensuring the very best conditions for learning. Our music facilities support the teaching of traditional instruments and music technology, ensuring our students are equipped for the future.

Baysgarth School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  The successful applicant will be required to apply for enhanced disclosure from the DBS.

If you are inspired by the challenge and responsibility of this opportunity, we would like to hear from you.  Further details and an application form can be downloaded from the school’s website.  If you would like to discuss any aspect of the post or organise a visit, please feel free to contact our faculty head of The Arts, Mrs Coby Dalton, via coby.dalton@baysgarthschool.co.uk

As an employer, we promote and safeguard the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect the same commitment from existing and prospective employees or volunteers. Recruitment to this post will follow our safer recruitment procedure which includes us requesting references prior to interview and a DBS check.

We are collectively organised around the people and place of North Lincolnshire. Together we ensure that our communities are safe, well, prosperous and connected. We are ambitious for North Lincolnshire, we want our area to be the #BestPlace for our residents by being the #BestCouncil we can be.
