Teaching Assistant L1 - Multiple Vacancies Available

Salary: Grade 2 £16,624 per year
Location St Hugh's School, Scunthorpe
Hours: 31 hours per week, term time only plus 1 additional day
DBS: Yes Enhanced with Barred List Check

About Us:

St Hugh’s School is a well-resourced, purpose-built school for students aged 11 to 16 years with moderate to severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning needs, many of whom have additional needs such as ASD and complex medical conditions. Due to growing demand, we are looking for a number of enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team.

About the Role:

We are seeking individuals who are passionate about helping students reach their full potential. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our students' learning, personal self-care, and behavioural development under the guidance of teachers and senior staff. This is a wonderful opportunity to work in a warm and welcoming environment, where you will make a meaningful contribution to students' educational journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Assist in the development of students’ learning and self-care skills.
•    Support the management of student behaviour.
•    Work closely with teachers and senior staff to deliver high-quality education tailored to individual student needs.

•    Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

Hours of work:

•    Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri: 8:50 AM - 3:30 PM
•    Wed: 8:50 AM - 4:30 PM
