Salary: Grade 4 £15,778 to £16,808 per year
Location Westcliffe Primary School, Scunthorpe
Hours: 27 hours 30 minutes per week, term time only plus 5 additional days
DBS: Yes Enhanced with Barred List Check

This is a Temporary, Part Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

Westcliffe Primary School Governors are seeking to appoint a temporary Grade 4 Teaching Assistant to commence with immediate effect (or as soon as possible) until 31st August 2026. There may be an opportunity to extend this contract into the following academic year.

If this is you, then the Headteacher and Governing Body of Westcliffe Primary School are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant with immediate effect.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our staff. The successful candidate should be adaptable in their approach and able to work on their own initiative. They should be an excellent team player who is both creative and hard-working and vitally, have a good sense of humour.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has recent experience of working in a classroom environment supporting children, including those with additional needs, and an understanding of the primary school curriculum.
• Has a minimum of NVQ Level 2 / other relevant qualification linked to the requirements of this position.
• Has a good standard in literacy and numeracy.
• Has the ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents and collegues. 
• Promotes high expectations of behaviour through positive interactions with children and can support children with their behaviour and regulating their emotions.
• Believes that children deserve the best and are prepared to go the extra mile.
• Is calm and patient and able to see the potential in all of our pupils and be aspirational for them.
