To commence September 2025

Baysgarth School is a comprehensive school which is built on strong family values, where everyone is seen, recognised and valued.

This has led to us becoming one of the most successful and oversubscribed schools in the region.

Our students are amazing. They are intelligent, articulate, funny, welcoming and appreciative of great teaching. They deserve the best and we intend to make sure that this is what they receive, in every subject, every day of their school lives. To do this we need outstanding teachers who are dedicated, passionate, dynamic, caring and inspiring.

We strongly feel we have a world class staff team and we are looking for someone to join one of the strongest teams within it as the school grows in numbers. We are currently looking for an inspirational Science teacher who has the skills and experience to continue to deliver the excellent outcomes we have come to expect from our Science team.

We welcome applicants with any specialism, as long as they have the passion and drive to inspire curiosity in our future scientists.

For our Lead Teacher role, we are looking for someone to take a whole school responsibility linked to Teaching and learning.

The successful candidate will work closely with the AHT Teaching and Learning and will support the leadership of the well established teaching and learning team, whose research, piloting and testing shape the whole school pedagogy.

In addition our staff are all expected to have strong inclusive values and play a significant pastoral role, ensuring all our students feel cared for.

We pride ourselves on strong relationships with students and the role of the form tutor is the most important one for each student.

The school boosts outstanding facilities in all areas, reflecting our commitment to our staff and students in ensuring the very best conditions for learning.

Baysgarth School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

The successful applicant will be required to apply for enhanced disclosure from the DBS. If you are inspired by the challenge and responsibility of this opportunity, we would like to hear from you.

Further details and an application form can be downloaded from the school’s website.

If you would like to discuss any aspect of the post or organise a visit, please feel free to contact our Head of Science, Mrs Lynsey Dolby via Lynsey.dolby@baysgarthschool.co.uk

As an employer, we promote and safeguard the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect the same commitment from existing and prospective employees or volunteers. Recruitment to this post will follow our safer recruitment procedure which includes us requesting references prior to interview and a DBS check.

We are collectively organised around the people and place of North Lincolnshire. Together we ensure that our communities are safe, well, prosperous and connected. We are ambitious for North Lincolnshire, we want our area to be the #BestPlace for our residents by being the #BestCouncil we can be.
