EYFS Lead Teacher

Salary: M4 - UPS3 £38,034 to £49,084 + TLR2 £3,391 per year
Location Barton St Peter's CE Primary School, Barton upon Humber
Hours: 32.5 hours per week
DBS: Yes Enhanced with Barred List Check

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to lead the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) provision at our school and to become a member of the School Leadership Team. We are looking for an inspirational, ambitious teacher with a proven track record of raising standards who can contribute to and drive excellence in: teaching, learning, and the EYFS curriculum. As the EYFS Lead, you will play a key role in the experience of our youngest learners, ensuring every child has the opportunity to shine at the start of their learning journey.

In this role, you will be responsible for: the line management of a small, highly skilled team, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning, ensuring excellent progress for all children in all areas and delivering quality, daily classroom practice. EYFS is a strength of our school, with results consistently above local and national averages. We are seeking a leader who can maintain and build upon these high standards.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be an outstanding EYFS teacher with a focus on achieving excellent pupil attainment
  • Have a passion for inspiring students and a determination to achieve success
  • Have a sound knowledge of Early Excellence and the EYFSP (Early Years Foundation Stage Profile)
  • Have experience in managing and supporting others to develop their teaching practice
  • Have a proven track record of raising standards in an EYFS environment
  • Be experienced in using Tapestry to track and assess learning journeys
  • Be highly skilled in delivering numeracy and literacy
  • Be committed to developing our Church School ethos, rooted in Christian values
