Salary: Grade 8 £36,124 to £40,476 per year

North Lincolnshire Council is looking to appoint a Historic Environment Record Officer to lead the Natural and Historic Environment Team’s work to protect, sustain and enhance North Lincolnshire’s historic environment. This is an exciting opportunity to work for the protection and promotion of North Lincolnshire’s unique heritage. 

Working within the team, your role is to manage, maintain, develop and promote North Lincolnshire Council’s Historic Environment Record (HER), managing up to two assistants to support this work.  

You will provide specialist advice ensuring that the importance of the heritage assets carries due weight in the planning and development process and in land management regimes, furthering the conservation and enhancement of the historic environment with the team's Conservation Officer.

You will have a degree or equivalent in Archaeology or a related subject and an all-round knowledge of British archaeology with an in depth knowledge and understanding of field work and records systems relating to the historic environment, including data standards and terminology. You will also have extensive experience of development management processes in relation to the historic environment.

This post involves travel to sites throughout the area and further afield on occasion therefore you must be able to meet the transport requirements.
