The Vacancy

Sir John Nelthorpe School is looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Social Sciences to join our successful Sixth Form team from September 2025. This is a permanent, part-time role (0.8 FTE) focused on delivering high-quality Key Stage 5 teaching in Psychology and Criminology.
We are proud to offer a small but thriving Sixth Form that provides an exceptional education across a broad range of subjects.
Our small class sizes allow for a supportive, personalised approach to learning and offer teachers the opportunity to build strong, meaningful relationships with students while delivering engaging and impactful lessons.
Applications are also welcomed from teachers who specialise in either Psychology or Criminology and would prefer a 0.4 FTE post. In such cases, a job share arrangement may be considered.
