The Vacancy
The Governing Body at Bowmandale Primary School are looking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed teaching assistant to work with children on a 1:1 basis, who have complex Special Educational Needs, including medical and behavioural needs.

It would be preferable if candidates have had some experience of working with children with complex behavioural difficulties.
The working pattern will involve supporting during teaching times and also recreational times.
Mon - Thursday 8.45am - 12pm & 1.00pm - 2.30pm.
Fri - 8.45am - 12pm
The successful candidate will have knowledge, understanding and commitment to working closely with the Class Teachers to provide support for the children to promote independence, encourage inclusion and access to the curriculum and learning resources.
Communication skills, be enthusiastic and be able to work on their own initiative at times.
Above all, we are looking for someone with a caring nature and kind personality who will have a range of strategies to ensure the children’s personal, social and emotional learning needs are met.
The post holder will be required to be an active team player within the school, as we work effectively as a dedicated team to provide high quality teaching and learning for all children.
