Customer Service Assistant

Salary: Grade 3 £7,792 to £8,040 per year
Location Baysgarth Community Hub, Barton upon Humber
Hours: 12 hours per week

This is a Temporary, Part Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

You will join a busy, front of house customer service team to provide a flexible approach to cover and assist the team to ensure both reception areas, phones and other forms of customer contact solutions are staffed in line with business needs. This role would be ideal for you if you are a customer focused individual with a strong interest and/or experience in fitness and wellbeing.

The purpose is to provide a friendly and efficient operation of the front of house service to customers, staff, site visitors including contractors and the general public.

As first point of contact for our leisure centre services you will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with staff, customers and service users alike. You will need a high level of working knowledge of computer systems and possess excellent organisational skills. You will be confident in completing both individual and team tasks and a non-judgmental attitude is essential.

The main duties of the post holder are:

  • To provide information, advice and guidance to customers and their queries over the telephone, email and in person.
  • To meet and greet visitors to the leisure centre providing a friendly and efficient front of house service.

The postholder will:

  • Have sales experience to support and advise customers on membership options available to them and ancillary sales.
  • Be pro-active and enthusiastic and able to work on own initiative.
  • Will possess excellent communication, administrative and organisational skills alongside reception and administration experience.
  • Have experience of cash handling.
  • Have excellent customer service skills - polite, courteous and helpful manner.
