Early Years Educator Apprentice

Salary: Apprentice Year 1 £14,567 per year (£7.55 per hour)
Location Scunthorpe Daisy Chains and Poppyfileds Nurseries
Hours: 37 hours per week
DBS: Yes Enhanced with Barred List Check

Early Years Educator Apprentice Are you passionate about making a difference to the lives of young children? If so, North Lincolnshire has an apprentice opportunity for you. Daisy Chains and Poppy Fields Nurseries care for children from birth to four years in Scunthorpe.

The nurseries care for children from their local communities and provide excellent opportunities to gain valuable experience of working with children with English as an additional language and special education needs and/or disabilities.

What would I be doing? As an apprentice you would be supported to build positive relationships with children and their carer’s, to support them in meeting their early learning and care needs. You would develop skills in observing and assessing children’s learning and development, identify needs and learn strategies to support children.

As well as contributing towards maintaining a safe, secure and clean environment for children. You would also support with preparing meals and snacks for the children ensuring children sit down to a pleasant sociable and healthy experience.

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

• You must hold English and Maths GCSE A-C or 4+ or working towards

• Have good communication skills, both verbal and written

• Good time management

• Basic IT skills

• Willing to take direction • Organised and able to work to deadlines

• Team working

• Commitment to complete an Apprenticeship

• Ability to attend training. You will gain a Level 3 Early Years Educator Qualification during the apprenticeship.
