Hours: 12 hours, 50 minutes per week term time only

Job Opportunity: School Transport Driver (PM Shift Only) – Scunthorpe and Surrounding Areas

We are currently seeking a reliable and empathetic driver to join our team in Scunthorpe and the surrounding areas. This role involves transporting pupils with special educational needs from schools and colleges to their homes in the afternoons only.

Key Details:

  • Working Hours: Afternoon (PM) shifts only, during school term time.
  • Duties: Transporting pupils from school or college to their homes.
  • Flexibility is essential, as hours may vary depending on routes, passenger numbers, and traffic conditions.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A caring and understanding approach to working with pupils/students with special educational needs.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • A D1 category driving licence is required and must be presented on the day of the driving assessment.
  • Willingness to undertake a driving assessment as part of the selection process.
  • Experience driving minibuses is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided, including the MiDAS (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme) certification.

Additional Information:

  • The successful candidate will be expected to work flexible afternoon hours to meet service needs.
