Specialist Teaching Assistant

Salary: Grade 7 £28,632 to £32,746 per year
Location Various Educational Settings Scunthorpe
Hours: 32 hours and 30 minutes per week (term time only)
DBS: Yes Enhanced with Barred List Check

Are you passionate about equity in education? Do you have experience in supporting learners from minority ethnic backgrounds and those with English as an additional language (EAL)? We are excited to announce that Ethnic Minority and Traveller Achievement Service (EMTAS) is seeking to recruit a compassionate and skilled specialist teaching assistant to provide targeted support to learners from diverse backgrounds from October 2025.

 

The post is fixed term to cover maternity leave until July 2026. Existing North Lincolnshire Council employees can be considered for a secondment, with the approval of their line manager. This an valuable professional opportunity for the right candidate, as they will work alongside an established and experienced specialist team and will gain deeper insight into EAL support and work with minority ethnic communities and schools across North Lincolnshire.
