L3 Teaching Assistant (SEND Study Hub)

Salary: Grade 7 £21,024 to £24,044 per year
Location Killingholme Primary School, Immingham
Hours: 27 hours 30 minutes per week, term time only plus 5 additional days
DBS: Yes Enhanced with Barred List Check

Teaching Assistant (L3) SEND Study Hub  

27.5 hours a week (9am to 3pm Monday to Friday) 
To start: January 2026 

We are a friendly Primary School with committed staff and enthusiastic pupils, seeking to employ an experienced Teaching Assistant. 

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect the same commitment from all staff and volunteers.

Main Responsibilities 

1.    Supports individual pupils or groups of pupils to access the differentiated curriculum, including adapting curriculum planning and evaluation of learning activities.

2.    Lead with general administration and classroom management, including creating learning materials.

3.    Contributes to the development, implementation and evaluation of individual education plans and individual behaviour plans that are devised by the SENCO and/or other professionals. 

4.    Enables pupils on inclusion programmes to access the differentiated curriculum by adaptive planning and teaching. 

5.    Lead pupils in planned activities when the teacher is temporarily absent, in accordance with instructions/directions.

6.    Supervises pupils in small group or one to one learning activities in school away from the main teaching area, following appropriate risk assessment.

7.    Supervises pupils at play/leisure breaks, at times of transition between lessons and activities, and on arrival at school and before departure.

8.    Helps promote pupil good behaviour and discipline through positive interactions with the pupils and participates fully in strategies agreed as part of any pupil’s individual behaviour plan, including physical interventions.

9.    Leads implementation of speech and language development activities, physical development activities and mobility activities, using mechanical hoists when necessary.

10.    Administers medication following clearly defined LEA/school procedures and follows basic first aid procedures as necessary.

11.    Shares with colleagues and supporting professionals and parents, issues of concern and positive feedback about the pupil’s welfare and achievements.
