Transition & Development Lead - Health

Our Group hold a number of contracts for services that aim to tackle health inequalities, improve outcomes for patients, utilise patient voice and involvement to influence service delivery, and provide support and advice. These services currently include Healthwatch in Hull, East Riding, North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire; a Macmillan Benefits Advice service in Doncaster; the Health Captains volunteering service which aims to reduce health inequalities and reduce pressures on NHS services; and administration of the Hull Aid in Sickness Trust.

The NHS 10 year Plan published in 2025, sets out a number of reforms that will impact on our current service portfolio over the coming year, as well as provide potential opportunities for development of new areas.

We are looking for a highly skilled and knowledgeable person who will oversee the transition of our health focussed services through these reforms; ensuring quality is maintained in our current service delivery; and exploring new opportunities for our organisation over the coming 12-18 months.

The ideal candidate will be politically astute with a sound knowledge of the health and social care landscape, and will be confident in liaising with partners with a view to developing collaborations and new service opportunities. You should be agile in doing this whilst also overseeing individual teams. You will bring skills in project management, people management and report writing, and will be comfortable working at pace in a fast changing environment.

What we offer:

  • £40,000 per annum salary.
  • 25 days holiday plus public holidays.
  • 35 hour full time working hours – offering excellent work life balance. Reduced or condensed hours may be negotiable.
  • Tailored Training and Induction programme covering all areas of current work.
  • Company Health plan after completion of probationary period.
  • Organisation wide away days.
  • A fun and nurturing working environment.
