Two Personal Assistants required for young male (016)

Salary: £12.21 per hour
Location: Scunthorpe
Hours: 3 hours per week term time, and 6 hours per week during half term

The Vacancy

Our client is looking for two personal assistants for their son, who requires support accessing the community and with recreational activities, as well as with some personal care. Support is to be provided in a 2:1 capacity. Our client’s son has Level 3 Autism and is non-verbal in communication.

The successful candidates should prioritise safety and always remain alert, due to our client’s son not identifying danger and demonstrating run-risk behaviours. He enjoys clay modelling, water-related activities, attending indoor play areas, building activities and is especially interested in dinosaurs. It is important that the successful candidates are physically strong due to behaviour being challenging at times. The successful candidates should also be assertive, when necessary, as well as engaging, creative and fun.

The role is 3 hours per week term time, and 6 hours per week during half term. The term time hours are to be worked outside of school hours – ideally on weekends, and half term hours can be negotiated. The hours will be paid at £12.21ph. The role is based in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire.

Due to the nature of the role an enhanced DBS will need to be completed, which we will fund.
