Salary: Grade 2 £8,713 per year
Location Various Schools around North Lincolnshire
Hours: 15 hours 30 minutes per week term time only
DBS: Yes Enhanced

We’re looking for friendly, reliable and enthusiastic individuals to help make lunchtimes a great experience for our pupils. If you enjoy working with children and have a passion for great customer service, this could be the perfect role for you! This is a mobile post and you will be covering KA duties in various kitchens in the North Lincs area to cover short term absences. You will need reliable transport, ideally a clean driving licence. Milage is paid at the agreed council rate.   

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Helping prepare and serve nutritious school meals
  • Setting up and clearing the dining area
  • Washing up and keeping the kitchen clean and tidy
  • Supporting the cook with food prep and cooking
  • Following hygiene and safety procedures
  • Completing kitchen paperwork (e.g. cleaning schedules, temperature logs)

What We’re Looking For:

  • A caring attitude and a team spirit
  • Good communication skills – especially with children
  • Basic literacy and numeracy
  • Awareness of food hygiene, allergens, and safeguarding
  • Willingness to complete training (e.g. Manual Handling, Food Hygiene)

This is a physically active role in a busy school kitchen, so you’ll need to be comfortable with standing, lifting, and working at pace. Flexibility is appreciated, especially during school events.
