Apprentice Early Years Educator (37 hours)

Salary: Apprentice year 1 - £12,878 per year (£8.00 per hour)
Location: Daisy Chains and Poppy Fields, Scunthorpe
Hours: 37 Hours per week term time only
DBS: Yes Enhanced with Barred List Check

About the role
As an apprentice you will:


• work alongside experienced staff

• gain job-specific skills

• earn a wage and get holiday pay

• study towards a related standard (usually 6 hours per week)


With mentoring, support and training you will complete the following tasks: 

• build positive relationships with children and their parents/carers.

• maintaining a safe, secure friendly and clean environment for children.

• contribute towards the planning of and delivery of teaching and learning for children in the settings.

• prepare meals/snacks for the children and ensure meal/snack times are a pleasant social and healthy experience for the children, whilst meeting individual children’s dietary requirements.

• develop skills in observing and assessing children’s learning and development to identify next steps for learning.

• identify children’s emerging need and learn strategies to support with this
