At Wroot Travis Charity C of E Primary School, we are proud to be a small school with a big heart. With just 30 pupils on roll, our setting is truly unique—offering a close-knit, family feel where every child is known, valued and championed.

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA2) to join our team from September 2026.

Start Date: September 2026

Contract: Fixed term until August 2027 (with potential to extend)

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:45am – 3:15pm (Term time only)

About the Role

This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a setting where relationships are at the heart of everything we do. You will:

  • Support teaching and learning in a small, nurturing classroom environment
  • Work closely with the class teacher to adapt learning and meet individual needs
  • Support pupils with SEND, enabling them to “access a broad and ambitious curriculum”
  • Deliver bespoke interventions and personalised learning programmes
  • Provide PPA cover when required
  • Play a key role in nurturing pupils’ confidence, independence and personal development
  • Lunch time supervision and some elements of personal care and 1-1 support may be required.
