The Vacancy
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated individual with proven administrative, IT and organisational skills, on a part-time basis, with a fixed term contract (until April 2027).
The Children in Care/Children in Need Transport Assistant will support the School Transport Manager by making transport arrangements from requests received from Social Workers in the most appropriate and economical way.
The postholder will also undertake routine clerical duties, process invoices, collate and prepare statistical information and deal with routine telephone calls.
The postholder must be able to work as part of a team but also be able to prioritise their own workload and work under pressure to meet targets and deadlines. They must be able to communicate both orally and in writing with tact, diplomacy and confidentiality.
