Teaching Assistant Level 2

Salary: Grade 4 £19,243 to £20,500 per year
Location: Barton St Peter's CE Primary School, Barton upon Humber
Hours: 32 hours and 30 mins per week, term time only plus 5 additional days
DBS: Yes Enhanced with Barred List Check

This is a Permanent, Part Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

The school is seeking a compassionate and committed Teaching Assistant to join our nurturing church-school community, where every child is valued as a unique individual and encouraged to " Let their light shine" 


 Initially based in EYFS, you will play a vital role in supporting young children with additional needs, helping them to feel secure, included and ready to learn as they start their school journey.

Working closely with the class teacher, EYPS and SENCo, you will provide tailored support, deliver small-group and 1:1 activities, and help create a warm, stimulating environment rooted in our Christian ethos of care and compassion.

We are looking for someone who brings patience, positivity and a genuine passion for early childhood development—someone who believes that all children can flourish when they are understood, encouraged and given the right support. If you are enthusiastic, reflective and eager to make a meaningful difference at the very start of a child’s learning journey, we would be delighted to hear from you.

The successful applicant will :

•    Have a proven track record in supporting children’s holistic development in an educational environment
•    Have a proven track record in communicating and working with parents and carers in supporting their children
•    Have a working knowledge of work place first aid and management of medical needs
•    Possess the ability to work flexibly and on their own initiative
•    Demonstrate knowledge of Child Protection legislation and Safeguarding practices
•    Be willing to participate in further training and development opportunities offered by the school
