Our School

Contract details 

• Fixed-term maternity cover contract.

• Full Time 

• Reception (EYFS FS2) class with a small cohort of 14 children

• Start date: October 2026 

What skills and experience we're looking for 

• A teacher who is passionate about Early Years education and committed to giving children the very best start to their school journey.

• A practitioner with a secure understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework, including the EYFS Curriculum, assessment requirements and EYFS Profile.

• A teacher who understands child development and can create a nurturing, stimulating and engaging learning environment where all children feel safe, valued and excited to learn.

• A teacher who can plan and deliver high-quality learning opportunities through a balance of adult-led and child-initiated learning experiences.

• Someone who can effectively observe, assess and respond to children's next steps, ensuring all pupils make strong progress from their starting points.

• A teacher who provides excellent pastoral care and understands the importance of supporting children's personal, social and emotional development.

• A practitioner who can effectively meet the needs of all learners, including pupils with SEND, through inclusive practice, adaptive teaching and high expectations.

• A collaborative professional who will work closely with colleagues, parents and carers to support children's learning and wellbeing.

• An individual who is committed to fulfilling statutory responsibilities, including safeguarding, accurate record keeping and contributing positively to whole-school development.
